This video perfect in all everything going on in my life. I love the part of the song where it says no one tells us where to go. A whole new world. I feel like Aladdin during the video.

True love in a relationship involves admiration, respect and care for your partner without expecting anything in return. Furthermore, true love does not involve any abuse whether emotional, mental or physical. In short, true love is putting your partner's needs and happiness before your own.

The whole purpose of bullying is to get the victim feeling bad about themselves while making the bully feel better. Crying or throwing a temper tantrum will only confirm that the bully had an effect on you. Sometimes, the best response is no response and to carry on doing what you’re doing.

This lets the bully know that their taunts have having no emotional effect so they’ll just give up their efforts. However, they may just try harder in which case, you’ll need a back-up plan."

"If you've ever used a paper bag, you can thank Margaret "Mattie" Knight, the 19th century's most famous woman inventor! Born in York, Maine, Knight was most well-known for a machine she built when she was 30 which folded and glued paper to create a flat-bottomed paper bag. The product was popular — so popular, in fact, that a man stole the idea to patent himself. When Knight took him to court for patent interference, he argued that a woman "could not possibly understand the mechanical complexities." Knight won her case by providing proof that she had designed the machine, earning herself the right to patent her machine. Over the course of her career, Knight invented over 100 different machines and patented 20 of them, including a rotary engine, a shoe-cutting machine, and a window frame with a sash. But if the true test of an invention is its staying power, then Knight's paper bag — still used today — is proof of her incredible gifts."

Margaret Hamilton...
"Hamilton took humanity to the moon. In 1969, the Apollo 11 landed safely on the moon because of the on-board flight software that Margaret wrote. Fittingly, she also coined the term “software engineering”, and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for her work with Apollo 11.

“Looking back, we were the luckiest people in the world. There was no choice but to be pioneers; no time to be beginners.” — Margaret H. Hamilton"

"Danica Roem Becomes First Transgender Woman to Win State Seat.
Susan Milligan • Nov. 7, 2017, at 9:53 p.m.

The battle of transgender people to win not just acceptance, but a public voice, took a dramatic turn Tuesday night, as Virginia first-time candidate Danica Roem became the first openly transgender woman in the nation to win a seat in a state legislature.

Roem, 33, ousted 73-year-old incumbent Republican Robert G. Marshall for the seat in Virginia House of Delegates' 13th District. While Roem focused her campaign on such parochial issues as heavy traffic, she was as unabashed about her transgender status as Marshall was about his distaste for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

Marshall was the author of an unsuccessful bill last year to force people to use the public bathroom assigned to their birth sex. He also opposed same-sex marriage, saying in a 2006 appearance that the “natural order of things” prohibited such unions. He added in comments that year at the University of Virginia School of law that “a woman’s arm is constructed at a certain angle so she can adequately cradle a baby. That’s the way we’re created. There are certain things nature intended.”

Roem, more than a decade later, put her own body front and center, publishing on YouTubean ad showing her taking hormones, putting on makeup, and discussing very frankly a gender transition she said had nothing to do with her ability to represent the people of northern Virginia.

Marshall, who had served the district for more than a quarter century, had refused to debate Roem and kept referring to her as “him,” something transgender people and their advocates find very offensive.

On Tuesday night, LGBT activists were thrilled about Roem’s stunning win over a man who was one of their biggest political foes in the state."

She then opened a legal practice to defend people being persecuted by the authorities. In 2000 she herself was imprisoned for having criticized her country’s hierocracy. She won the 2003 Nobel Peace Prize for her pioneering efforts for democracy and human rights, especially those of women, children and refugees. She is the first Iranian and first Muslim woman to win the prize. She is currently living in exile in the UK due to increased persecution of opponents of the current regime."

"Dangerous cults are notorious for making members confess to past sins, often publicly, then using those confessions against them. Some groups keep elaborate files of their members’ pasts for blackmail.
Totalitarian groups often use the threat of expulsion to keep members in line. Once you’ve successfully defined the outside world as evil or deadly, it’s easy to maintain discipline by threatening to throw someone out."

"History of Magic

The belief in magic anc magical powers dates back to the earliest recorded history. In Egypt, for example, large number of magical papyri, in Greek, Coptic, and Demotic, have been recovered. These sources contain early instances of much of the magical lore that later became part of Western cultural expectations about the practice of magic, especially ceremonial magic. They contain early instances of:

magic words said to have the power to command the spiritsuse of magic wands and other ritual toolsuse of a magic circle to defend the magician against the spirits he is invoking or evokinguse of mysterious symbols or sigils thought useful to invoke or evoke spirits.

The use of spirit mediums is also documented in these texts; many of the spells call for a child to be brought to the magic circle to act as a conduit for messages from the spirits. The time of the Emperor Julian of Rome, marked by a reaction against the influence of Christianity, saw a revival of magical practices associated with neo-Platonism under the guise of theurgy."

Mother fights to end bullying for daughter — and all victims
By Melkorka Licea and Susan Edelman

September 30, 2017 | 9:30pm

Helayne Seidman
School officials do too little to stop bullying, says the mother of a 15-year-old victim.

Ashlee Merrill said her daughter, Aleeyah — a sophomore at Essex Street Academy on the Lower East Side — was ridiculed and taunted on Facebook by a classmate in late August, who also targeted her in a Snapchat video which threatened, “I’ll stab bitches and spit in their face.”

Merrill contacted Families for Excellent Schools, a pro-charter group that filed a federal class-action suit against the city Department of Education, charging a failure to address violence and bullying.

“There was serious violence before — this was just the worst we’ve seen,” said the group’s lawyer, Jim Walden, referring to Wednesday’s fatal high-school stabbing over alleged bullying in The Bronx.

The lawsuit demands that the DOE enforce a protocol to investigate complaints, and take actions such as removing bullies or letting victims change schools upon request.

The two sides are close to a settlement, court papers say.

In Aleeyah’s case, the menacing video wasn’t sent to her alone, but it was posted minutes after the girl insulted Aleeyah on Facebook, the mom said.

“This girl was calling my daughter a ‘cornball’ and a ‘follower’ for no reason, then posted that scary video right after,” said Merrill, who was inspired to speak out after last week’s bullying-related bloodshed. “It made her feel really unsafe.”

Merrill, 36, said she immediately informed the school principal and demanded the other girl be removed from her daughter’s homeroom class.

The principal “told me they were going to remove her from my daughter’s class a month ago and still hasn’t done anything,” Merrill said. The school assured Merrill a counselor attempted “mediation” with the alleged bully. The principal could not immediately be reached.

“They don’t take things seriously. I guess they have to wait until someone gets hurt for them to help,” the mom said.

DOE spokeswoman Toya Holness said in a statement: “We take any allegation of bullying seriously and provide schools with resources to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment. This incident was reported and we’re working closely with the school to look into it and ensure appropriate follow-up action is swiftly taken.”
